We know that communication between staff and
family is of the utmost importance. We encourage you to visit with the Director daily and to speak to her whenever you have something you would like to discuss.

The Director sends home monthly newsletters highlighting upcoming special events, activities and field trips. Unusual behaviors, accidents or signs of illness are recorded and confidential copies are given to the family at the end of the day. If we feel that you might want the information earlier we will call you promptly.

Our teachers keep individual development, behavior and learning records on all children so that we can document and closely supervise your child’s progress. This information will be conveyed in written as well as oral communications. For Infants and Toddlers, you will receive daily forms sharing your child’s individualized feeding times and quantities, napping times, diaper changing information and special developmental activities.

During the transition into Toddler programs the naps, meals, and many activities will gradually become more uniform within the group and you will see this reflected in the daily write-ups.

For Preschoolers and Kindergarteners, detailed reports of each child’s progress will be presented to you in private conferences scheduled by your child’s teacher. Extra conferences can always be requested, and, of course, daily questions and
communications are always encouraged.
